Business Intelligence Analyst, Finance, Cape Town CBD

Well Established Finance / Microfinance company is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst for the South African Office based in Cape Town. Candidate will be required to create a Business Intelligence Department to service the operating entities based in Zambia, Tanzania and Malawi.

Minimum Requirements:
• Degree in statistics, mathematics, or engineering
• 3-5 years’ work experience in the financial industry
• Advanced knowledge of SAS and Excel
• Must be able to travel to Zambia, Tanzania and Malawi on a regular basis.

Responsibilities will include:
• Developing credit score cards for underlying operating entities
• Assessing and analysing monthly risk performance across the group
• Developing profit and pricing models for new and existing products
• Leading forensic investigations to identify fraud or bad debt clusters
• Applying machine learning technology to the credit modelling
• Pioneering the Company’s transformation towards a more data-driven business model
