A unique opportunity to complement a small, focused team building a management information data warehouse. This is the role for you if you are looking to step into business intelligence (BI) business analysis and learn from leading BI specialists.
 
Key responsibilities
You will be expected to understand the nature and business impact of requests, perform the required analysis, and work with the developers to ensure functional and technical specifications are understood and delivered. You will need to communicate clearly with all stakeholders and gather, coordinate and manage business requirements and expectations. You will be expected to support the business with regards to business and process improvement, ensure appropriate documentation is created and maintained, and perform high-level testing before delivering solutions.
 
Minimum requirements

• B.Com degree (or relevant tertiary qualification) with Information Technology
• Relevant Business Analysis qualification essential
• Minimum5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience working in an Investment Management environment would be ideal
• Exposure to or experience in the Kimball methodology would be particularly advantageous
• Sound knowledge of financial markets and instruments would be advantageous

• Strong technical data analysis skills

• Development background and understanding of the SDLC
• High level of computer literacy, specifically Excel
• Exposure to Microsoft BI tools Power Pivot, Power BI and SQL query writing
• Be able to design and document logical dimensional models

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions in line with Kimball methodology
