A subsidiary of a Global Financial Services Company requires your completed relevant University Degree and proven passion for investment industry to fill their opening of a Business Analyst.

Job Specifications;
  • Operational support on FIS (SunGard) InvestOne and Investran Investment Accounting Systems
  • General queries, technical support, issue resolution and user security management
  • Daily pricing and valuation data maintenance
  • Fund, Security, Expense and Corporate Action Static data maintenance and set-ups
  • Report development and maintenance on InvestOne and Investran
  • Maintenance and support for Analytics Software
  • Maintenance and support for investor registry system
  • Integration Development and BPM using VBA/Excel
  • Data feed maintenance and development
  • Strong financial markets knowledge needed
  • Understanding of Investment Fund Accounting and Reporting
  • Strong desire to self-learn and research 
  • Meeting project deadlines
  • Completing tasks allocated
  • Ability to self-learn and research complex queries
  • Attending to support requests and queries timeously
  • Follow-up and completing ongoing queries
  • Feedback from teams on accuracy of requests
  • Ensure adherence to Internal Controls standards, systems and procedures and that appropriate standards are maintained in all aspects of operational risk which is endorsed by subsequent audits 
  • Fully comply with all applicable laws and rules of any applicable regulators 
  • Communicate and escalate potential issues in a prompt and effective manner 
  • Participate in Management Group training courses when requested to do so, in particular anti-money laundering training 
  • Adhere to the Management Group policies on conflicts of interest, personal account dealing and gifts and entertainment at all times 
  • Report promptly any knowledge or suspicion of money laundering activities to the Company’s MLRO 
  • Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures 
  • Be aware of the Operational Risks associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of these risks and the relevant controls
 
Minimum Requirements;
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Systems or Finance/Investment Management
  • Previous experience linked to Investment Administration
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge
  • Exposure to programming (VBA/Macro’s)
  • Exposure to SQL
  • HTML 
  • XML knowledge 
  • Exposure to Private Equity
