QUAL PURCHASING/SUPPLY CHAIN/ PROCUREMENT + EXP IN SAP & BAAN. 5 YEARS EXP IN BUYING WITHIN AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY A PLUS+ EXP ERP SYSTEMS.

The main functions will include, but is not limited to:
• Place all manual and consumable orders on approved suppliers
• Perform all expediting functions on manual and system orders placed
• Match delivery notes and Invoices, send to accounts for payment
• Update supplier prices on BAAN
• Control all Non-Compliance/Continues Improvement Reports send to supplier
• Capture all Inter-company orders on BAAN
• General Filling applicable to Purchasing department
• Assisting in the Negotiation and Listing decisions with our Suppliers.
• Half-year Forward orders and continual Expediting;
• Analysis and management of item ranges in terms of Stock turn ratios, Margins,
• Maintenance of coding structures and descriptions in BaaN
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE SKILLS
• Tertiary qualification in Purchasing/Procurement and/or Supply Chain would be an advantage
• Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
• A sound working knowledge of BaaN or SAP as well as Microsoft Excel and Word
• Able to speak, read and write English and Afrikaans clearly and fluently.
Experience and Knowledge:
• Must have at least 6 years’ experience in warehouse/logistics environment
• Must have at least 3 years of purchasing experience
• High level knowledge of store keeping and stock control
• Good computer literacy – Purchasing principles on a ERP system (i.e. BAAN), Word, Excel and email
General:
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to understand supply chain processes
• Good Industrial Relations
• Ability to speak, read and write English and/or Afrikaans
• Good communicator at all levels in the organisation;
SALARY - Basic: +- R15’000 – R20’000
