RS Recruitment Services is assisting a large Manufacturing company based in Maxmead, Durban
to source a Temp Buyer. (4 month contact-maternity).

Applicants should have/be the following:
• Matric certificate
• B.Com Degree preferred or a diploma relating to procurement
• Practical experience is not negotiable
• Extensive experience with Pastel Partner
• Good analytical skills
• Commercial awareness
• Communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure

Responsibilities-including but not limited to:
• Interact with internal departments for requests to order stock or services for company and for the projects running
• Generate Purchase orders, obtain approval and interact with suppliers
• Monitor open purchase orders
• Report weekly on closed purchase orders (vendor invoice number and name for all closed orders)
• Work with Storeman to ensure all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase order and report any back ordered or missing products
• Assist the Cost Accountant to maintain proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis or with long ordering lead times
• Updating Trello (online project card system) with status of orders placed by project co-ordinators
• Negotiating with vendors for better pricing & discounts
• Looking for new vendors
• Updating costing used for budgeting projects

Remuneration:
• Remuneration: R10k to R15k, depending on experience.
