Buyer - Fruit and Vegetables

• Grade 12 + a relevant tertiary qualification
• A thorough knowledge of Fruit and Vegetables is essential.
• Previous trading experience is a requirement
• Growing programmes: planning / implementation thereof
• Product purchase prices
• Sales and gross profit for own buying category
• Maintaining shortage on order / product wastage within acceptable levels
• Product management, including quality
• Food safety systems and procedures
• Regular farm and market visits
• Packaging stock levels
• Promotions
• Acquiring accurate / relevant management information
• Assisting with general management duties
• Adhering to company Policy on buying and trading procedures
• Market Related + Medical aid + fully paid provident fund + company car
