C&I Designer/technician

Qualifications: Diploma National Diploma Electrical/ Electronic Engineering / N6 or higher (Electronic Engineering)

Experience: 3 – 6 years

Key job functions:

• Design assistance of mining/industrial Control & Instrumentation systems through the full lifecycle process (including PLC & SCADA programing) in accordance to the project standards and specifications.

• Ability to effectively interact with the multi discipline departments and the project teams.

• Ability to work and interact with the client teams.

General requirements (some of and/or part of)

• Interpretation of the design criteria’s, function specifications and the control network diagrams.

• Ability to add the instrumentation portion of the P&ID’s.

• Assist with the instrumentation index’s, data sheets, drawings, I/O lists.

• Assist with the PLC & SCADA hardware designs.

• PLC and SCADA programming is essential.

• Assist with FAT testing all designed in accordance to the project standards and specifications.

• Assist with the construction assistance, commissioning and project handover.

• Electrical knowledge will be advantageous.

Notes: Must be in good health to pass all health and safety travel and site requirements. Experience in the mining sector will be an advantage, Must be willing to work in a surface and underground environment. Must be in good health to pass all health and safety travel and site requirements. Must be willing to travel to mining/industrial sites (local and international).
