Our client requires the services Draughtsman to provide layouts, general arrangements and detailed technical drawings in accordance with company project specifications.

Key performance areas:

? Creating CAD drawings for representational purposes
? Handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision
? Quotations for clients
? Create drawings and models from written assignments under minimal supervision
? Review drawings for completeness and accuracy
? Maintain all revisions of project drawing
? Update and maintain drafting log
? Develop 3D models by analyzing prototypes and 2D drawings
? Perform reverse engineering for development of design.
? Solve fabrication problems
? Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products
? Prepare multiple versions of designs for review by line manager
? Complete project responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule
? Design plans using CAD software
? Drafts and prepare layout drawings of the given structures, components and devices
? Produce draft designs and diagrams according to given specifications
? Compile data and specifications sheets
? Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements
? Market research.
? Examine and check drawings for compliance with cited specifications.
? Build relationships with internal clients, Divisional Managers and external Service Providers
? Liaise with Divisions regarding related queries
? Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a qualification in draughting
? Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
? Job related knowledge of CAD software and design
? Excellent computer literacy (MS Office)
? Good leadership and communication skills
? Must be able to work under pressure when required
