CARGO CONTROLLER: SUB-CONTRACTORS – WELLINGTON (URGENT VACANCY)

An International Transport Company has an urgent need for reliable, dependable and switched on CARGO CONTROLLER: SUB-CONTRACTORS with a common-sense approach. Our clients supply national and international road freight, local collections and deliveries and warehousing and distribution services. They offer great rates of pay for the right candidates and flexible rosters and an excellent work culture.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Schedule sub-contractors’ vehicles to ensure that cargo arrive on time;
• Communication with sub-contracted driver regarding cargo movements;
• Follow up with drivers throughout the day;
• Off-load and Up-load instructions to sub-contracted driver;
• Broking of additional cargo that needs to transported to other destinations;
• Sourcing of cargo loads for sub-contractors in case there isn’t enough on the day;
• Daily booking of cargo loads on the Debtors’ System in conjunction with the Debtors Procedures;
• All cargo confirmations need to faxed to sub-contractors;
• Follow up on sub-contractors’ delivery notes;
• Determine commission structure of cargo with sub-contractors’.
