CCTV Operator - X3

Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the CCTV operator is to monitor safety and security activities within the centre.
Key Responsibilities:
0. Ensure that all CCTV cameras are in working order prior to the commence of the shift and communicate the status of the cameras to the Security Risk Officer on a daily basis
1. Familiarize themselves with all events scheduled in the centre on daily basis
2. Monitor activities of all personnel within the building
3. Communicate any non-compliant activity to the Security Risk Officer
4. Compile the comprehensive reports on all non-compliant activities and action taken
5. Operate and monitor all systems within the CCTV Control room
6. To maintain the CCTV control room according to the security standard and ensure that all equipments is properly maintained all the times.
7. To obtain and keep orderly fashion, all evidential records
8. To compile incident reports of all incidents in all a clear and legible manner
9. Identify any suspicious behavior, body language and specific stress behavior patterns of individuals
10. Identify and observe specific stages of a potential incidents
11. Monitor and focus on high risk areas during events for any suspicious behavior patterns


Key Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12
• PSIRA Grade B
• CCTV Training competence certificate and be familiar with Geo -vision camera system
• Be able to assign access control cards
• Computer literate
• Good report writing skills
• Be able to communicate effectively with the staff on the ground
• Problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Ram-rand emergency system
• Knowledge of security fire panel system
• Knowledge of IMPRO access control system
• Ability to handle pressure
• Honest and reliable
• Extensive knowledge in CCTV operations minimum 1 year experience
