Our client is a diversified company with both established and new interests across a variety of market segments. Currently they are a leading manufacturer of wax based personal care and specialised industrial solutions for the South African as well as global markets. They research and develop, manufacture and supply raw materials that are used in a variety of personal care and industrialapplications. Some of these products and solutions are consumed by some of the world’s leading care brands.

Our client seeks to employ a Global Channel Manager within the Commercial Department, who will be responsible for the development and execution of the Company’sglobal reseller and service channel partner distribution strategy in order to build a robust sales pipeline while maintaining channel management best practice.

Key Responsibilities
Crafting and implementing Channel Sales strategies to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales targetsand objectives;
Developing and maintaining existing partner relationships;
Negotiating and finalisation of distribution contracts together with managementwith current and prospective channel partners;
Driving sales within specific channels and maximise revenue opportunities with Channel partners;
Provide the Company with market insights to specific market requirements in order to help develop robust marketing and technical product/solution roadmaps to meet market needs;
Setting up new channel partners and overseeing the on-boarding, process in line with approved strategy;
Facilitates robust and consistent training and up skilling of channel partners with regards to existing as well as new product propositions;
Advising on trends, best practices among other partners and opportunities for long term growth;
Drive strategic opportunities from conceptto revenue recognition using best practice channel management methodology;
Develops an intricate understanding of each market, and provides consistent feedback to provide insight to the Company on which opportunities may be transferable across different markets;
Proactively leads a joint partner planning process that develops and review performance at consistent intervals setsmutual performance objectives and tracks critical milestones;
Coordinates development of sales and marketing materials required to enable channel partners to be successful and promotes the Company within global channel organizations and their subsidiaries;
Manages potential channel conflict at product as well as territorial level and as far as possible understands final destination of the Company’s product and their intended use;
Develops anintimate understanding of channel partner needs and recommends solutions, to improve channel partner and final customer satisfaction and sales;
Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations with the support of the Customer Service Representative.
Monitor sales performance against targets, and ensures channel partners provide regular and accurate sales forecasts by product by channel by market;
Ensures partner compliance with regional and global partner agreements and initiates solutions to remedy breaches at an early stage;
Constantly monitors the health of channel campaigns by tracking and monitoring the Key Performance Indicators. This includes creating KPI reports and presenting them at an agreed consistent interval to the senior management team.

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a commercial qualification relevant field
Minimum 5 - 10 years’ proven successful channel sales experience;
Experience in travelling independently across various continents and has well-adjusted cultural sensitivities;
Experience in the personal care business segment would be an advantage;
