Qualifications & Experience:
BSc / BEng Civil Engineering Degree, BTech also considered (commensurate with experience). ?
Must be a registered Pr Eng. or Pr Tech Eng. 11 -20 Years of experience in Transportation. ?
Road Geometrical Design, Contract Administration of Road Construction projects, Geometrical Design Software, such as Civil Designer, Model/Road Maker and Civil 3D.

Key Performance Areas :
Spearhead technical co-ordination and resources planning relating to division for the business unit. ?
Fulfill the role of project director, project leader and/or project engineer as appropriate for projects within discipline and other disciplines as required. ?
Provide specialist marketing support to Business Unit Head, branch managers, and project leaders for specific clients and projects ?
Spearhead the process of workload planning and efficient allocation of specialised staff on division projects across group. ?
Provide technical support and quality management services for projects undertaken by business unit. ?
Assist BUH by providing management support as required, especially strategic technology management within the business unit. ?
Lead the technical content and co-ordinate the financial aspects in the preparation of bids as required for divisional and BU support. ?
Input into corporate strategy and implementation thereof. ?
Ongoing technical excellence and productivity of division/department. ?
Ensure allocated tasks and projects are completed timeously, within allocated budget and in accordance with client's requirements. ?
Assists emerging contractors beyond the normal call of duty viz. technical and administrative guidance. ?
Adhere to project approval procedures and quality plans in line with company policies and ensure risk areas are adequately mitigated, and corrective procedures implemented. ?
Ensure QMS is implemented on all projects ?
Assist line management by providing excellent client service, proper project planning and administration (including Proman administration), accurate designs and high quality drawings. ?
Market the business with specific clients in fields of specialization. ?
Ensure effective utilisation of sub-consulting/ specialist services and adherence to sound procurement procedures.
