Our Client a leading organization in the Oil and Petroleum industry is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their team.

Candidates to be situated on or near the Kloof area.

Key Roles and Accountabilities:

Financial management & reporting. Staff management including HR & IR, and Organizational areas such as performance management, quality assurance, systems development, taxation,etc.

Duties Include:

• Business and financial strategy and planning, monitoring, management and reporting, including management and development of policies, systems, processes and personnel involved.
• Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements including taxation, dividends, annual report and accounts.
• Budgeting and cash flow planning and monitoring and management of departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
• Financial staff management, motivation, training, recruitment and selection.
• Other areas: company insurance, import/export administration, licensing, contracts and agreements, legal areas and activities, corporate level negotiations (eg premises, plant, trading, acquisitions and divestments, disposals), major supplier/customer/partner relationships, regulatory bodies relationships and strategies, approvals and accreditations.
• Manage and develop IT as required in order to support a growing business environment.
• Manage and monitor environmental, health and safety, quality assurance policies procedures and conformance thereof.
• Company Secretary Responsibility's eg statutory company administration responsibilities including any relevant legal requirements.

Employment Standards

• Education: B.Com.Hons / CASA
• Experience: At least five years as Financial Manager with management reporting, auditing and staff management.

Required Skills and attributes:

• Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
• Interpersonal skills and able to build relationships.
• Highly motivated in meeting reporting deadlines and critical analysis of variances.
• Confident and assertive look for opportunities and take them.
• Needs good knowledge of Financial accounting applications, typically Pastel.
