PLANNER CHIEF

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12/N3;
• Trade Certificate with a minimum of N4;
• Certificate in Maintenance Management ;
• Program in First Line Management or equivalent;
• Minimum of eight (8) years planned maintenance experience in a plant or mining environment;
• Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in plant or mining maintenance;
• A valid code B/EB driving license.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Computer literacy in MS Office and site specific programmes;
• Knowledge of risk assessment, standard procedures, disciplinary procedures, engineering processes and budgeting;
• Must possess first aid, coaching, planning, people management, communication and organising skills.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE, INTER ALIA:
• Contribute to annual departmental budget planning;
• Translate SHERQ goals and ensure it is implemented efficiently and effectively;
• Implement and drive change initiatives;
• Drive actions to encourage, implement and improve systems;
• Manage team performance and develop team members;
• Develop and maintain productive relations with internal and external customers;
• Ensure maintenance planning is aligned with production plan;
• Provide timeous and accurate management information and reports;
• Act as custodian of enterprise management system (EMS);
• Oversee and monitor contacting services rendered to the entire mine;
• Engineering design, planning and implementation;
• Ensure asset care planning and scheduling;
• Manage the execution of the enterprise asset management program;
• Review, improve and plan asset care activities;
• Ad hoc, any other reasonable duties as and when requested from time to time.
