My client, a leading ICT company with a national footprint, seeks to employ an experienced Cisco Network Security Support Engineer to provide support and maintenance on the company’s WAN, LAN and Server Architecture, maintain the networks security hardware and software and enforce the company’s network security policy.

Job Function:
• Performing analysis of network security needs and contributes to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software.
• Analyzing, troubleshooting and correcting network problems remotely and on-site.
• Maintain network security policy.
• Install and maintain Cisco routers and Cisco switches
• Implement and administer IP load balancing with Citrix Netscaler and Big/IP, hardware SSL accelerators, and other software/hardware as necessary.
• Design and implement remote connectivity solutions including IPSec VPN, PPTP, and SSLVPN
• Troubleshoot Windows 2008/2003/2000 permission and other related issues
• Monitor security system logs
• Report on discovered anomalies or problems
• Testing computer/router/switch hardware and software solutions
• Administer and configure Windows 2008, Windows 2003, and Unix-based systems, as needed.
• Use sniffers and other tools to troubleshoot and isolate network problems.
• Assist with network security assessments
• Perform other related duties as may be required.

Requirements:
• Related ICT Tertiary Education
• CCNP Certification (current) (essential)
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years directly related work experience in customer support, network, security administration\ engineering.
• Prior hands-on professional experience must include Windows 2008, Windows 2003, Windows XP, Cisco ASA and/or Linux and a working knowledge of operating systems including Windows 2008, Windows 2003, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and UNIX.
• Working knowledge of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, authentication mechanisms, encryption technologies, and networking protocols including SMTP, HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, and SNMP.
• Strong analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with all levels of personnel both internally and externally
• Ability to work in and constructively contribute to a team work environment and meet stringent deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and follow through including the ability to document work.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information is essential.
