Cleaning and Hygiene Supervisor

Job Purpose
To ensure a clean internal and external environment of Sci-Bono Discovery Centre premises to support the professional delivery of Sci-Bono’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Take overall responsibility for the practical organization of day to day cleaning operation
• To identify the number of cleaning staff required to maintain a clean environment within the set annual budget
• To monitor stocks of cleaning equipment and materials as a mandate that orders can be placed on a timely basis
• To maintain a flexible daily cleaning schedule of all internal areas of the centre and ensure that identified key areas of the centre receive priority in the schedule
• Liaise with the Facilities Assistants and Events Coordinator and review the weekly events calendar to identify events cleaning requirements
• Check on a daily basis that all areas of the centre are cleaned to a satisfactory standard and daily cleaning logs are completed for each work station
• Maintain cleaning staff attendance logs and timesheets submission to the departmental manager
• Produce on a monthly basis ,official order forms for equipment ,uniform and materials for signature by the manager
• Investigate and maintain a working knowledge of developments in cleaning equipment and materials and to identify means by which the cleaning operation might be developed
• Develop and carry out induction procedures with all new staff
• Conduct pre-event inspections of all rooms, concourses, seating areas and public areas prior guest arriving for every intake
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety
• Produce weekly and monthly reports for management
Minimum requirements
1.1 Relevant work experience
• Minimum of three years’ housekeeping supervisory experience
• Three years’ Customer relations experience
• Three years’ Stores control ordering and receiving material
• Computer literacy on MS Office is essential
