Key Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with and co-ordinating supervision and training of all basic learners / permanent staff
• Facilitating a continuous in-service training program within the ICU
• Providing clinical facilitation for learners and permanent staff, both at the bedside and in a structured format
• Maintaining accurate records, as required by the tertiary institution for registration purposes, allowing the learner to complete the basic program
• Liaising with tertiary education institutions through scheduled meetings to plan examinations/evaluations and identify problem areas
• Mentoring and supervision of junior healthcare providers and support staff
