Job title: Clinical Pharmacist

Location: Mossel bay

Job Purpose: The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the clinical pharmacy services within the hospital by ensuring that the quality standard, financial objectives, legislative compliance and clinical criteria are achieved to the required standards

Qualification & Experience:
• MSc (Med)/ Pharm Degree essential
• Must be registered with SAPC
• 3-5 years practical clinical experience in the critical outputs
• Understanding of pharmacy and related healthcare industry, legislation, regulation and challenges
• Pharmaceutical product knowledge
• Computer proficiency

Duties and Responsibility
• Effective medication safety management
• Participate in incident investigation in the hospital to identify root cause and corrective action
• Report management with regards to Anti micro bias
• Implement all quality initiatives as identified
• Effective quality management systems
• Implement customer satisfaction and pharmacy quality initiatives
• Effective financial management pertaining to portfolio
• Participate in the management of cost of sales of pharmaceuticals in line with revenue and budget
• Build effective working relationships with doctors
• Retain, motivate and develop staff according to the organizations people policies and practices
• Provide direction and inspire positive work behaviour in the team
