Experience and qualifications required
• The candidate must have a clinical and academic background
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the managed care environment
• A good understanding of the Medical Schemes Act
• Analytical and administrative skills

The Strategic Managed Care Clinical Researcher is responsible for the review of new and existing clinical protocols, guidelines and managed care rules being implemented by the Managed Care Organisation. The position involves conducting systemic reviews of good practice guidelines currently available to ensure that Scheme funding decisions are based on best practice.
