My client, a provider of temporary power generation services is looking for a CNC Programmer & Setter; to support CNC Manufacturing cells with the setting and programming to achieve the required manufacturing demands

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:-

• To create and ensure timeous availability of all existing and new CNC programs for the Boksburg Manufacturing.
• Convert all existing and create all Programs into the “Master Cam” format.
• Assist with the standardisation and optimisation of CNC tooling and other CNC consumables.
• Assist to optimise and finalise the CNC stage drawings.
• Create and ensure availability prior to production CNC data packs (i.e. stage drawings, program availability, CNC tooling requirements)
• Ensure the setups are as per best practices and produce the required quality.
• Review cycle times to continuously thrive for improvement.
• To establish and control the CNC setups and intervene through the supervisory channels (i.e. stop or initiate change) if the employee and or equipment safety is at risk, if the setup is not optimal or if the incorrect methods are used.

•  Self-driven with good problem identification/solving abilities. 

POST REQUIREMENTS:-

• Must have at least N6 in Engineering studies or Matric with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
• Must have either Turner Machinist trade or Tool and Die Maker trade or Millwright trade.
• Must have  Advanced CNC Programming certificate
• Master Cam or Edge Cam will be advantageous.
• 5+Years’ Experience in Production Environment in a CNC Machining operations
• Intermediate computer literacy to be able to work effectively with Microsoft office suite (software).
