A vacancy exists for a Commercial Analyst within the Customer Solutions division of a well-known pharmaceutical company based in Midrand.

Job Purpose:

• Provides accurate, efficient and consistent financial and non-financial analysis to influence business decisions.

• Analysis is required by all levels of the sales organisation and directors and areas of the wider business.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities are:

• Be the lead commercial analyst for One MD ensuring that all sales teams and directors have accurate, efficient and consistent data required.

• Proactively report on trends and anomalies in sales and market performance to the leaders of the business units on pre-defined reports.

• Ensure accurate, efficient and consistent sales reporting.

• Consolidation of Weekly Prognosis for One MD

• Manage sales reporting systems and tools (BI tools from JDE / SAP BI).

• Manage third party sales allocations.

• Drive Sales Territory Management with Commercial Team.

• Lead the calculation and accrual of commissions for the sales teams.

• Calculate and manage all field sales and profitability targets.

• External Market reporting and analysis.

• Market & Competitor analysis and information database development.

• Ensure monitoring of the projects /agreement profitability by making sure that all data is accurate and consistent, and any inconsistencies are flagged up to the project manager.

• Go to Market data management

• Tender / RFP impact analysis

• RFP price modelling and analytic prep for submissions.

• Price file maintenance and upload file preparation.

• Participate in and lead process improvements for the whole team

 

Requirements:

• Statistical or finance background with the related qualification is a must

• Microsoft Excel – Advanced knowledge

• Business Intelligence (BI) Tools and other reporting tools (Microstrategy, Tableau, etc.)

• MS Office, JD Edwards and SAP

• Demonstrates Credo based leadership principles in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong leadership and decision making skills

• Highly numerate and attention to detail

• The ability to analyse, work through and solve problems

• Good communication skills, good written and spoken English

• Ability to prioritise work on a daily basis.
