Our client, a market leader in the Fruit Export industry, is currently seeking an experienced Commercial Assistant to coordinate local marketing activities with the Head of Local Marketing in Paarl.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Planned client programmes together with Commercial Head
• Set up new growers when sourced & confirmed new details
• Set up new clients when sourced & confirmed new details
• Maintained costings & cost matrix
• Maintained pack code master sheets for local business
• Applied for import permits
• Distributed crop estimates to stores and local markets
• Distributed account sales for imports
• Distributed statements for domestic’s sales
• Resolved order issues that may arise with
• Packhouse/Marketing team and or clients.
• Monitored all client programmes weekly
• Reviewed all import supplier performance
• Authorised invoices
• Maintained PPECB/PALTRACK Code Sheets
• Serviced allocated local clients as per Commercial Head (negotiate prices, invoice, account sales)
• Sold frozen stock to current and new potential clients (negotiate prices, invoice, account sales)
• Assisted with grower guides
• Monitored stock for local and imports
• Liaised with client/logistics department for all land despatch process for local/imports
• Liaised with clients and logistics department for all local/import airfreight process
• Maintained supplier/customer relationships
• Liaised with client/pack houses/suppliers regarding
• packing material needs
• Recon Freshmark crates
• Sourced packaging quotes
• Followed-up on, signed-off and captured
• Followed-up with outstanding debtors

Minimum requirements:
• Matric
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification
• Experience in the fruit industry
• Fully bilingual
• Computer Literate (MS Office & Dipar)
