The Client:
An opportunity to join the South African arm of a global company within the security solutions industry exists with our client in Port Elizabeth. With a passion for client service they strive to integrate the latest security technology; intelligence and specialised manpower to tailor make security solutions to meet each customer’s needs.

The Role:
The role requires an independent, connected/networked individual who is self motivated to take full ownership of growing and identifying new and existing business within the Eastern Cape Region. In addition you will be tasked with introducing new products and services to existing and new clients in order to expand service offerings and solutions to your clients.

Functions of Appointment:
• Establish a marketing plan using market, competitor and service assessments.
• Identify potential new business via leads, planned prospecting and cold calling.
• Prepare and conduct presentations, sales proposals and site surveys for potential clients.
• Conduct after sales visits as per Company Marketing and Sales policy.
• Assess changing client needs / security trends through discussions with potential clients.
• Initiate regular meetings with Managing Director to generate leads and track growth as per business plan.
• Prepare monthly report on sales activities and recommend strategies for market penetration.
• Conduct feasibility studies to assess the market for the introduction of new products and services with existing customers and the obtaining of new customers.
• Develop plans to implement new products and services at existing and new customers.
• Formulate and present tenders on new products and services.
• Roll out new products and services.
• Through audits ensure that new products have been correctly implemented.

The Candidate:
Our client is looking for a seasoned enthusiastic and driven Business Development Manager who is market and customer focussed. You should be a level-headed leader with integrity and have the ability to successfully manage, inspire and cultivate client relationships. You are resilient, flexible with an analytical, results focussed outlook. Your persuasive communications skills, strategic thinking style and excellent planning and organisational ability will all contribute to your success within this role. Your in-depth knowledge of the Eastern Cape / Coastal commercial market will be a distinct advantage.

You should display the ability to have foresight and have a realistic outlook. You are opportunistic, meticulous; results orientated and are able to work in a highly pressurised environment.
