Communications Manager
Introduction

This global corporate is currently looking for an Communications Manager who will develop, execute & manage the communication strategy by ensuring consistent & clear communication in alignment with the company’s mission & shared values and align efforts of the team to accurately & appropriately communicate developments of the organization.
Description
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:-

Degree in Communications or equivalent qualification.
Master’s degree and communications professional registration will be an added advantage.
Minimum 10 year’s experience in communications field with 3 years Middle Management experience.
Knowledge in evaluating communication effectiveness.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to take initiative to develop new strategies and outside-the-box ideas for social media.
Valid driver’s license.

Key Performance Areas:-

Prepare and submit an annual communications operational budget to the Corporate Affairs Director for approval and manage effectively within the budget.
Ensure internal organisational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and messages are consistent across all levels in the organisation.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key media house and communications partners.
Develop and implement the internal communications plan to ensure that employees understand the company’s values, strategy, goals, and direction.
Serve as an in-house Communications cCnsultant for Executives, prepare Executives speeches and external PR opportunities (e.g. media interviews).
Refine core messaging to ensure organizational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, organizing and education.
Promote regular and ongoing opportunities for staff to give feedback on the effectiveness of teams and programs.
Continuously monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of communications initiatives to make appropriate improvements and recommendations.
Partner with the Corporate Affairs Director to represent the company.
Handle all communications aspects related to major projects in the South Africa.
Develop and implement social media strategies.
Manage and provide direction for communication via the website, social media outlets, print, and other communication tools.
Work closely with the team or other stakeholders on anything related to corporate communications, in particular, media relations.
Work with media outlets to publish timely company information, such as press releases, brochures, and other materials.
Act as the primary point of contact for the media in South Africa, handle media inquiries and seek mandate where appropriate.
Document presence at events, conferences, and speaking engagements and ensure that this is communicated back into the organization.
