A Corporate Asset Management Company based in the Northern Suburbs seeks to employ a Compliance Officer with 3-5 yrs relevant working experience. Must have CA, LLB or any other relevant qualification. Should be computer literate. The ideal candidate must be organized, logical, practice concise verbal & written English communication and have exceptional analytical skills.

Job Description:

 

Compliance Officer with approximately 3 to 5 years relevant working experience in some, but not necessarily all, of the “Duties and Responsibilities” listed below. Experience may have been gained at an asset manager, Management Company, compliance consultancy, auditing firm, insurer, law firm or other relevant organization. Working as part of a team the role suits someone who is a self-starter, very organized, confident, proactive, pragmatic, able to juggle responsibilities, deliver on time and comfortable in a team environment.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

1.         Various compliance related tasks covering: the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, the Long Term Insurance Act, the Pension Funds Act, the Medical Schemes Act, the Financial Intelligence Centre Act, internal compliance policies and procedures relevant to an asset manager

2.         Monitoring and updating the business on regulatory/industry developments

3.         Monitoring and reporting on compliance obligations and risks

4.         Interacting with regulators, industry bodies and internal stakeholders

5.         Opportunity to take on global compliance tasks

CA, LLB and any other relevant qualifications will be considered
