The Compliance Officer assists in managing the risk and behaviour of the business in order to assure alignment with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements. This role will carry the responsibility of conducting audits and checks within various departments in the business in order to compare professional standards, check for accepted best business practice and minimize risk to the business. Compliance Officers will have the authority of a Team Leader and may act out corrective action in accordance with the company’s rules and regulations.

Role Overview:

- Reviewing legislation
- Communicating industry changes which may affect the business to all stakeholders* (review, may be a management function)
- Providing learning and coaching support to employees
- Applying disciplinary action
- Minimizing and managing risk
- Ensuring overall business compliance between and across all units
- Provide the Compliance Manager with support with managing NCR Complaints

Requirements:

- Matric/NQF Level 4 qualification
- Registered Debt Counsellor (TBA)
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a call centre environment
- A minimum of two years’ experience in the Debt Review industry
- A minimum of one year’s experience in the Insurance industry
- Experienced in call evaluations
- An understanding of the Debt Review legal procedure
