Job Description:

Managing the mine business plan for the maintenance department for the purpose of maximizing shareholder value.
Responsible to oversee and manage the entire maintenance requirements for the mining equipment and fleet availability and reliability in order to achieve production targets.
Fulfilling legal responsibility in line with the SA Mine Health and Safety Act
Reducing maintenance costs, one will be required to ensure customer satisfaction as well as engaging in developing innovative technology and testing
Required to analyse plant and equipment performance in identifying critical issues to make sure that the performance of the mining maintenance function increases value to the company's operational goals and objectives..
Manage the productivity of the mine through implementing strategic vehicle and plant replacement programmes.
Identify capital projects to achieve strategic objectives
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and programmes through the relevant departments in order to enhance cost cutting, as well as margin improvement without compromising on efficiency and improved safety regulations.
Managing the safety regulation and compliance requirements while ensuring to develop an acute safety conscious environment and culture through each department.
Generating excellent processes and maintenance best practice systems to achieve optimal results through Maintenance Departments
Responsibility to manage the Concentrator and Magnetite plants maintenance standards to align with international standards for maximum competitiveness.
Giving attention to tangible succession planning and mentorship that will inspire, encourage and develop employees to reach top talent within the company.

Minimum Requirements:

Government Certificate of Competence, (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) for Mines.
5 - 7 years’ experience in a mining maintenance environment at superintendent level.
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
Proven track record in maintenance and strategic planning, organizational development and leadership.
