SUMMARY

Our client, situated in Rivonia, Gauteng, is in search of a Configuration Specialist to customize software solutions based on the provided Business Requirements Specification (BRS) and technical specifications. The role entails ensuring efficient and precise fulfilment of client needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Configure software using the platform’s toolset, aligning with the BRS and technical specifications.
Address any technical challenges during the configuration process and seek guidance when needed.
Design, develop, and maintain database structures to efficiently store and manage data.
Implement SQL scripts to extract, manipulate, and input data as required.
Validate the functionality of the configured solution, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Identify and rectify configuration-related errors before handoff to the Solutions Team.
Work closely with the Configuration Team Lead and other team members, ensuring alignment and coherence.
Engage with the Solutions Team for clarity on the BRS and any other requirements.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of configurations and associated processes.
Report progress and any potential challenges to the Configuration Team Lead.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in SQL scripting and database design.
Demonstrate problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of agile project methodologies.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle multiple projects concurrently.
