Main responsibilities and duties
PROJECTS
Managing existing projects
Managing, Conceptualising and developing projects using board identified macro economic factors as updated annually
Management and coordination of the company’s initiated projects and partnership/outside-funded projects including: planning, implementation, expenditure monitoring and reporting to ensure timeous delivery of agreed results.
Publish research and analysis results of project work
Set up and manage the organisation’s tourism knowledge facility/programme
Produce demand driven and supply side tourism business and economic intelligence
Support the CEO in the overall delivery of the company’s mandate to its constituencies

Generating funding to enable delivery of projects
Project Identification, source funding, operate and manage the finances in accordance with the company’s strategy and operational policies and procedures including: preparation of project budgets in consultation with relevant parties, efficient use of project assets and resources, and production of reports for the Board and relevant parties
Ensure that the company has a focused approach on to leverage funds to deliver on the strategic projects mandate

Stakeholder relationship to collaborate and leverage delivery on the project mandate
Create and maintain synergies with key partners and stakeholders in overall coordination and management of the company’s project portfolio

Contribute to the company’s brand positioning
Ensure coverage on the company’s projects and brand.

Planning, reporting and evaluation
Appropriately structured annual business plan and activity plan in line with board approved plan
Timeous and appropriate structured and worded board report which is in line with annual approved business plan
Timeous consolidation of board report into annual report input
Evaluation of the implementation of the business plan : bi-annual performance appraisals
• Approved business and activity plans to be converted in annual performance plan (Annex B & C)
• Bi-annual performance appraisals

Requirements
At least 10 years construction management experience
Must have at least a degree and a suitable post degree qualifications
HVAC experience an advantage but not a necessity
Experience in research and analysis essential and have good writing skills
Project management skills, Computer literacy, Communication skills, Quality control management
Emotional intelligence and People Management skills
Experience in engineering, duct pressure calc, pipe sizing, equipment selections (fans, ahu’s, chillers, mcp’s and controls) an advantage
Shop-drawing engineering and detailing with draftsman
Equipment take-offs, material submittals, equipment orders and project cost control
Design of systems and drawings
Tender documentation and applications
Testing, commissioning and certification of systems and equipment
