Consumer Marketing Operations Manager - Cape Town

Job Description:

Set challenging and stretching targets to ensure the execution of brand plans and to deliver market share, net revenue, gross margin and product contribution targets within the timescales and budget.
Maintains and develops strong communication with all internal departments and external customers to successfully implement the category strategies to ultimately improve market share, net revenue, gross margin & product contribution for the portfolio.
As a member of the OTC team - lead the development of the consumer portfolio strategy to drive aggressive market share gains, best in class activation & brand equity and support the achievement of the overall business strategy in the short-medium and long term.
Management and deployment of consumer communications, as well as activation strategy & execution (advertising, media, digital, promotions, HCP engagement plans)
Allocate appropriate levels of resource to drive consumer initiatives in South Africa
Contribute to the development and ultimate roll-out of all initiatives
Strong collaboration with the Key Account Manager with regards to the development and execution of the marketing strategy, promotions, pricing, presence and in-store visibility activities in retail and FMCG accounts.
Networks and collaborates with the regional META team to ensure alignment of brand strategies and campaigns.
Creates and drives launch plans/presentations for new products and supports the KAM in delivering presentations to key accounts on the short and long term goals of the business to further advance the company`s position in driving new listings and expanding the business.
Communicates with a cross functional team of stakeholders - commercial, supply chain and regulatory to drive on time launches and execution, as well as external agencies (Media, PR and Creative) to deliver on integrated campaigns
Plan and execute launches with strategic PR launches and build strong business relationships with relevant editors, influencers and bloggers through communication and campaign boosting.
Develop & implement innovative launch plans/brand plans for each brand in the consumer portfolio

Qualifications:

University Bachelor’s degree with a focus on business or marketing preferred
Experienced marketer in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) with minimum 5 years’ experience
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Preference for experience in healthcare sales
Experience working with brands in a developing markets
Entrepreneurial and financially & commercially astute
