CONSUMER SALES REPRESENTATIVE (HARDWARE)
LOCATION: NELSPRUIT
PACKAGE: Salary R22-24k depending on experience.;Cell phone allowance / or company phone; Company car and Petrol; Company will pay travelling expenses.; Pension & medical aid;
6 month probation period.

PURPOSE OF JOB: TO SERVICE THE HARDWARE CUSTOMERS IN THE MPUMALANGA REGION AND THE WHOLE OF THE HIGHVELD REGION

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND INDICATORS:

• Call on existing Hardware customers and grow their sales volumes
• Maintain agreed call cycle
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly plan to achieve sales targets.
• Implement plan and monitor actual vs planned sales
• Plan and implement promotional activity to launch new products / focus on existing products
• Achieve 100% of sales budget with minimum GP as agreed
• Discuss problem areas and corrective action with sales manager
• Liaise with external merchandising company & internal merchandiser to meet sales objectives
• Ensure agreed merchandising standards are met.
• Participate and assist at trade shows.
• Manage stock levels and range representation in stores
• Communicate price increases to customers.
• Prepare detailed plan to acquire new business monthly
• Prepare any required call reports and display surveys
• Conduct sales statistical surveys as required.
• Assist with customer complaints
• Present product training to customers

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

EDUCATION: Minimum Grade 12, Sales and marketing qualification or similar qualification advantageous

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 – 5 years sales experience, preferably in Hardware or similar position advantageous

SKILLS:
? Very good communication skills, both verbal and written
? Good command of both English and Afrikaans essential.
? Presentation skills for training customers
? Report writing skills and administration skills
? Ability to plan, prepare and achieve sales budget
? Working knowledge of MS Office and Excel advantageous
? Aptitude for maths and figure work preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
? Unendorsed valid Drivers Licence.
? Ability to handle cash in a responsible manner
? Willing to travel. Will require to stay 6 nights out a month.
? Disciplined and well organised individual preferred
? Good health status and excellent attendance record
