DVT is looking for an intermediate to senior contract business analyst to join our vibrant consulting team. By joining DVT you will have exposure to a variety of work, the projects you work on and the client sites will change as your career and skill set grow. This position is an initial 6 month contract with option to renew based in the Northern suburbs or Southern Suburbs of Cape Town.

Candidates would need to demonstrate the following:

• Ensure efficient and cost effective business solutions and processes are in place to address business needs / requirements.
• Facilitate effective business processes by eliciting, analysing, validating and documenting business organisational and / or operational requirements
• Act as a bridge between business, stakeholders and solution team.
• Define business rules and guide the implementation of these rules in the development of various applications
• Work closely with systems analyst and project manager to design and implement solutions.
• Engage with business representatives to obtain input and agreement on alternatives (related to best practice in the industry) that are presented.
• Accurately communicate business requirements to IT to ensure that the business needs are efficiently addressed.
• Keep business user informed of any changes (also accommodate changes in requirements as they are progressively elaborated.)

Required Skills & Experience

• Relevant Tertiary education
• Relevant Business Analysis qualification essential (FTI etc.)
• Minimum of 4 - 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Previous experience at a financial services organisation
• Strong working knowledge of business processes
• Ability to package and present analysis with recommendations to management and executive teams
• Ability to work in complex, changing environments
• Client-focused thinking
