IT CONTRACT SPECIALIST

BEDFORDVIEW

 

What will you be responsible for?

Contract Management as it relates to drafting IT contracts, reviewing the contracts drafted by the IT team, attending to contract negotiations with the service providers and attending to final execution of the contracts

 

Your day to day duties could include:

Contract Drafting:

  • The type of agreements shall include but not limited to: software agreements, Services Agreements, Support and Maintenance Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Sales / Purchasing Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Master Agreements as well as review of service provider proposed terms and conditions;

  • Service Management - serving as  the point of contact for IT department on contractual matters, and also facilitating the contractual process between the IT department and SCM and the Legal Department, ensuring timely review and approval and/or reconciliation of variations;

  • Ensure maintenance of contractual records and documentation;

  • Provide guidance and training on contract matters to IT staff in terms of contracting practices and procedures periodically;

     

Contract and Performance Management:

  • Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration to ensure compliance with CLIENT’s policies and procedure manuals. This process will include but not limited to:

  • Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness;

  • Provide contractual support to the IT Technical leads and/or Project (or Programme) Managers during  implementation phase;

  • Monitor transaction compliance against set milestones, deliverable

  • Oversee Service Level Agreement Compliance;

  • Manage the Intellectual Property of CLIENT;

  • Implement performance management processes where required;

  • Assist in contract close out process.

 

Technical Skills and Experience needed for this position:

  • Appropriate degree in contract law, IACCM qualification / studying towards IACCM will be an added advantage;

  • 3 years’ experience in supplier relationship management, contract management and administration – Specifically procurement contacts;

  • Knowledge of Project Management will be an added advantage;

  • Proven knowledge of IT related contracts;

  • Knowledge of Procurement Principles and Practices;

  • Knowledge of treasury regulations;

  • Knowledge of Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) and Commercial processes and systems;

  • Knowledge of KING III, PFMA, PPPFA and PAIA;

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management compliance requirements.
