JOB DESCRITION OF MANAGER

The successful incumbent will be required to contribute to the financial success of the company by overseeing all the construction management of all sites as requested by Executive Management.

Overview:
Construction contracts managers oversee projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within its budget. As a contracts manager, you could be working on a wide variety of projects, from office developments to houses or schools and colleges to road and rail schemes.
A contracts manager is sometimes in charge of a single scheme, or may look after several smaller ones. At all times, they are the first point of contact for members of the public, clients, site managers and sub-contractors for as long as the contract lasts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing the site and liaising with other construction professionals such as architects, engineers, buyers, estimators and surveyors before construction work start.
• Developing the programme of work and strategy for making the project happen.
• Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur, for example, planning the delivery and storage of equipment and materials.
• Making safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health safety and the environment (HSE) are adhered to.
• Overseeing the running of several projects.
• Using construction management software packages to plan smooth work flows.
• Communicating with a range of people including the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public and the workforce.
• Construction Manager will be responsible for all labour workers working on site
• Day to day running of project/ Admin duties
• Payment certificate & Purchase orders
• Coordinate and Supervise the Construction Process from the Conceptual Development stage through final
• Construction, Making sure that the Project is delivered on time and within Budget.
• Manage Planning, Scheduling, and Construction of work activities as per Construction drawings and specifications.
• Manage the selection and performance of Sub Contractors to complete specific sections of the Project.
• Oversee the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment; worker productivity and safety; and the quality of construction in adherence to the project spefications and safety regulations.
• Liaising with Estimators and Surveyors before Construction work start.
• Doing safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health safety and the environment (HSE) are adhered to.
• Financial planning, control and reporting of construction activities.
