Budget’s / Year End Standard Cost Setting
Assist with compiling and completing budgeted Cost of Goods in detail and present high-level analysis
Assist with year-end Standard Cost Setting (“roll up’ at year end)
Tenders’

Assist in preparing tender COGs and providing all specific detail required per the Tender Document
Analyze Tender COGs and provide specific input on marginal products where necessary
Perform Tender Award Analysis for contribution to Factory and SA Operations business
Prepare Commercial Evaluations preliminary costings according to SOP
Commercial evaluation can vary from re-alignment cost impacts / benefits
Specific pre-lims Costs in form of new launch products off the Costing Database platform
Feasibility / profit analysis
Benchmark and do trend analysis
Specific Projects on Ad Hoc basis
Daily / Monthly Tasks

Monitor all changes to standard costs during the year (review of internal check reports on changes)
Perform Routing cost impacts where changes are made by factory
Ensure all changes to item master and BOMs are reviewed to ensure product cost’s remain accurate and complete.
Ensure factory Transfer prices remain in line with Marketing Standard – Accuracy of Transfer prices (Bill Backs)
Updating and ensuring all products are complete and accurate e.g. contain surcharges and yields
Roll up of new products
Apply signal codes correctly
Filling/Archiving of all documentation and reports
Assist with Month End Reporting (Std vs Curr, Pending Pre-lims, FIFO, Routing change controls impacts)
Update SOP’s on a continued basis
IT improvement projects where required
Requirements -
Matric / Grade 12
BCom or Costing Diploma Finance and Costing modules
3 years’ experience in a Costing department within a Manufacturing concern
Computer literate. Highly competent in Excel
