Job Summary

R24 000 – R28 000 plus Commission
Our leading Road Freight client in fast paced Johannesburg is looking for a results driven, experienced, committed and articulate individual with a knack for developing new business in the Transport Industry. This role will entail canvassing for new business, doing presentations, negotiating at a high level and reaching monthly targets. Excellent basic plus great commission. The harder you work, the more successful you will be! Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.
Requirements:
Relevant qualification an advantage
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Road Freight/Transport sales
Proven sales track record
Line haul and Break bulk knowledge a must
Responsibilities:
Be the first contact between the company and the potential customers.
Sourcing new business through industry market knowledge and research.
Cold Call and establish appointments with potential customers.
Present proposed solutions to our Customers.
Work accordingly to the sales and buyer cycle.
Compile monthly reports on all sales activities.
Monitor financial targets due to performance.
Monitor and manage customer call ratios that need to be achieved.
Skills:
Strong administrative and computer skills.
Analytical and mathematical skills to assist in quotations.
Great organizational and time management skills.
Ability to cold call.
Ability to build a good rapport with clients.
Ability to problem solve and find a practical solution to issues that arise.
Acquire good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to negotiate and close deals.
Able to work independently.
Ability to understand business process and be able to interpret business needs.
Be willing to work overtime when required.
Be able to work under pressure and in stressful environments.
Fully computer literate in Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook and Power point.
