This dynamic company run orders on a weekly basis for 23 different stores. Be in an essential position in implementing, and monitoring procedures to ensure that the proper inventory is in all warehouse locations. The position will assist management in the development and implementation of a formal program to audit all areas related to inventory movement for integrity and accuracy. This individual will assist branch warehouses with their inventory control procedures and assist with daily stock checks. Check and maintain stock codes and update correct prices at all time. Qualification:
Matric essential
Diploma / Certificate Financial Qualification advantageous
Skills & Experience:
3+ years in a Credit Controller role, ideally in a retail or manufacturing environment
Inventory control (both local and international)
Good planning and organizing skills
Strong and clear communicator
Client liaison – good emotional intelligence to gauge a situation
Must be meticulous and accurate
Perform daily / weekly / monthly inventory analysis and to avoid low stock and overstock
Develop inventory plan to ensure smooth product flow
Report product issues to marketing team for immediate resolution.
Maintain appropriate stock level according to seasonal promotions and ads
Place product orders on timely manner and track open purchase orders
Plan and complete the assigned tasks within the deadlines
Work with Brand Manager to maximize sales and reduce overstocks
Manage inventory adjustments and transfers
Analyse root causes of inventory issues and provide resolutions
Communicate complex inventory problems to Manager promptly
Generate and maintain daily / monthly / weekly reports on inventory levels
Review inventory activities and recommend improvements
Assist in inventory risk assessment and mitigation activities
Job Description:
Develop, implement, and monitor all key functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely.
Co-ordinate a cycle count program in a perpetual inventory environment.
Co-ordinate the cycle count progress and results to identify necessary recounts and processes to be monitored and provide regular reports on the results.
Perform thorough research and document inventory discrepancies using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions.
Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures in an effort to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels.
Co-ordinate the efforts of the cycle counts in an effort to identify and correct discrepancies on items at the location level as needed.
Will monitor warehouse and store transfers for accuracy and cost effectiveness as directed by Management.
Special Order SKU’s.
Trouble shoots all special order problems from time of receipt.
Ensure that the unit of measure “in” is the same as the unit of measure “out”.
