This exciting specialist role requires an experienced candidate with a positive "can do" attitude to offer Business Intelligence support within to the partners of a large and very well-known Law Firm. This newly created sub-division reports into the strategic Marketing Function of the Company.

The role has 3 distinct functions.

Help develop and manage the organisations CRM function, a wide ranging function that brings together the various forms of data driven by the business into one central repository, in order to drive strategic marketing and response campaigns to our client base.

Managing the Tender process from sourcing the opportunity, to providing accurate content, to post application management and follow up – the includes liaising on a daily basis with relevant Partners and Support Staff.

The final role is a writer – providing insight and content to the above two requirements. We require a skilled writer who has a macro view of the environment, but can deliver accurate, timely, bespoke content from a law/business perspective.

The roles will split as follows

Approximately 45% of the incumbents time will be dedicated to the CRM role.
Approximately 45% to the Tender process.
10% will be dedicated to writing.
An additional 10% of the time will be taken up by meetings and admin.

1. General Duties and Responsibilities – CRM Role

Work with the leadership team to build CRM as a core service practice to the Firm
Lead the development effort of introducing and implementing CRM into the business through a close working relationship with IT
Provide input and oversight across evolving CRM platform to ensure consistent quality delivery.
Design, implement and manage Customer data management to create a 360 degree view of the customer across channels.
Using CRM to provide Firm with a better understanding of their customers and how to connect with them in each market and channel.
Develop reporting and dashboard methodologies to enable campaign management and measurement of asset effectiveness across channels.
Undertake full CRM and Business monitoring and listening to help identify key trends, respond to customers in a timely manner, build loyalty and to manage the client reputation via the Partners and Support Services.
To develop and maintain content management services which helps the Firm most efficiently use their assets
To develop new marketing and organisational models to help the Firm streamline work, share learning, maintain brand standards and balance the needs of the organisation.
Help develop the Customer experience through full utilization of CRM by understanding the customer journey and managing the experience across channels to increase value and build relationships.

2. General Duties and Responsibilities – Tender Role

Ensuring credibility and accuracy of all proposals submitted
Track and monitor proposals
Manage the proposal team and ensuring application of processes
Interpret client queries and respond professionally
Screen press and online notification sites
Analyse tender requests and identify specific requirements
Distribute requirements to tender committee
Co-ordinate tender development activities
Manage database of tender precedents
Compile final tender development activities
Manage timeous review, signature and delivery of tenders
Develop client presentations
Monitor and ensure that the tender and legal requirements impacting the tender process are maintained
Ensure proactive interaction with client following a tender award
Monitor the financial impact of tender awards
Track contract deadlines and renewal date
Report on all related matters
Ensuring application deadlines are met

3. General Duties and Responsibilities – Writing Role

To understand the macro business environment as well as the local African environment
To either have, or develop an understanding of the specialist law industry – writing styles, language usage, etc.
To write engaging opening sections to Tenders delivering the skills and benefits of working with the Company
To ensure that all other Tender content is of a similar style, grammar and language throughout
To part of the overall business "Plain English" Campaign – moving towards a more customer centric approach to language – whilst taking into consideration the legal aspect

Requirements

Strong computer literacy on MS Office programs
Experience with SAGE CRM would be an advantage
Excellent written communication and language skills
Project management skills
Flexible approach and excellent time management abilities
Exceptional attention to detail
Understands client focus
Willingness to learn, live brand values and embrace firm culture
Ability to interact respectfully and appropriately at all levels
Take ownership and responsibility
Patricia and or worksite systems knowledge will be an added advantage
Good team player, use initiative and be able to multi task

Qualification/s

CRM qualifications would be an advantage
Marketing or relevant Higher Certificate/Diploma
A post graduate degree would be advantageous
At least three years relevant experience in a professional services environment
Strong administrative background will be an advantage
