An exciting opportunity exists for a Project Manager with previous experience in the roll-out of Corporate Social Responsibility Programmes within an NGO framework. Our client embarked on an exciting corporate social investment programme in education in 2009. The result was an educational programme that supports them in helping the Western Cape Education Department to improve literacy, maths, science and writing levels in primary schools. They work closely with the WCED to ensure that this programme is relevant and applicable to the teaching curriculum for Grades 4 to 6.

Requirements:
• Teaching Degree / Social Science / Business Management or related degree
• Stakeholder management experience is essential
• Previous experience in marketing
• Strong project management experience

Key Performance Areas:

Project Management & Coordination
o Contribute to the conceptualization of marketing material
o Manage the launch presentations for schools
o Liaise with WCED, Bursars, Suppliers
o Oversee the communication, on a regular basis, with all the schools across the 5 competition sections (Literacy, Story writing, Maths & Science and debating

Monitoring and Evaluation
o Coordinate focus groups/interview sessions at competition level with the participating schools
o Collate feedback forms from participating schools
o Coordinate volunteers for competition rounds from various partners
o Secure and coordinate marking team for story writing competition
o Secure and coordinate judges, score keepers and quizzes masters for the competition rounds
o Coordinate workshops for mentors
o Regularly update and maintain the website
o Manage PR, Social media & Communications in collaboration with the marketing department
o Form partnerships with other companies, collaborating with other projects and obtaining sponsorships
o Manage school travel claims/expenses for competition days
o Coordinate Provincial Spelling Bee Communication & Liaising with Project participants
o Mange prize handover to winning schools for all the competitions
o Manage the purchasing and distribution of launch handout items and Project newspapers
o Obtain quotations for competition rounds and finals

Admin & Reporting
o Prepare and monitor budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and
forecast
o Deliver all reporting requirement to the Assistant Regional Head
