Data Analyst

Location: Braamfontien
Salary: R40k per month

As the Data Analyst (Marketing), you will work to create and monitor processes that ensure best practices in lead generation, campaign co-ordination and database management.
You will also conduct complex data analysis that you will use to generate useful business insights and will be used to inform strategic decisions by the marketing department and other stakeholders.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at once, which involve both internal and external stakeholders and report to the Head of Attracting (Marketing Director)

Requirements:
Degree in Business Science, Commerce, Stats, Marketing or similar (data-orientated)
Previous equivalent working experience in the Insurance, Finance or direct marketing sector
Added benefit of experience in lead generation/ call centre environment preferable
Strong analytical skills (including mastery of Microsoft Excel) and experience with reporting and data analysis
Proficient in data analysis and integrating data from various systems into usable and presentable reports
Designing and creating report structures and dashboards
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, technical and statistics know-how.
This role combines a data-driven approach and expertise with an eye for spotting new opportunities to test and experiment.
You should also have a nose for compelling reports with data at its core, including data visualisation and attention to detail

Analytical Skills: Data analysts work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching. You will need to see through the data and analyse it to find conclusions.
Communication Skills: You may often be called to present your findings, or translate the data into an understandable document. You will need to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas and come to new conclusions based on the findings.

Duties:
Manage lead planning and technical aspects of key marketing systems used to generate, distribute, and report on leads.
Establish, maintain and manage performance of leads in pre-qualifying call centre with processes that ensure best practices in campaign and lead management.
Create and maintain metrics reports on marketing and lead generation campaign activities, effectiveness and business impact upon lead mix, quality, value and volume.
Analyse marketing and lead generation campaign data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for optimisation.
Monitor and maintain daily the data quality within the marketing space.
Evaluate new technologies and add-on processes and develop applications to improve and optimise marketing team performance levels against targeted KPI’s.
Reconcile monthly reports of lead numbers with invoices, tracking, monitoring and reporting volumes, cost-per-lead, campaign performance and targets
Supplier and advertising partner relationship building and management
Ensure compliance to industry regulations of advertising messages and campaigns
Collecting downstream feedback and assist with ongoing data analysis used for target market segmentation and competitor mapping.
Design and implement statistical tests around our campaigns and various marketing touch points and verify their significance and overall impact.
Collaborate with marketing teammates and other key stakeholders to implement what you learn.
Whilst documenting all research findings, you will build the company’s institutional knowledge and unlock new opportunities for growth and ways to operate more effectively by seeking out problems and experiment with the best approach to solving them can then be implemented.
Collaborate with Head of Attracting and senior leaders to both accurately forecast and craft the right strategies, campaigns, and tests to run.
Develop vision for analytics architecture, various predictive models, and efficient workflow dash boards across marketing.
