Data Architect
A well-established company within the IT industry based in Bellville is looking to employ an experience and qualified Data Architect, who enjoys challenging the status-quo and is a natural leader.

Main duties and responsibilities (but not limited to):
You will play a vital role in the decisions of future data architecture. The primary focus of this position is to have an end-to-end vision, and to see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical database designs, and how the data will flow through the successive stages involved. You will need to form relationships on different levels and be helpful and supportive to your team, developers and fellow leaders.
Design data architectures
Optimize data architectures
Understand data architecture design patterns
Design, maintain, optimize and build conceptual, logical and physical database models for relational databases, data warehouses and multidimensional database to satisfy application requirements
Data modelling
Develops strategies for data integration
Develops strategies for data acquisitions
Address data migration
Develops strategies for archiving
Develops strategies for data dictionaries
Make sure sensitive data is protected
Lead and direct the works of others
Develop standards and best practices
Contact with partners for support
