We are looking for a Data Centre Engineer for a National Company in Port Elizabeth.

Minimum Requirements:
4 to 5 years Experience as a Senior Engineer
A degree/diploma in Information Technology
VMWare & Hyper-V experience essential
Veeam Experience essential
EMC Clarion / HP MSA experience essential
HP SIM experience beneficial
Own vehicle and drivers licence essential
Good English language skills

Duties:
Monitoring, recording, diagnosing, reporting, escalation and management of Veeam Backups across a global deployed infrastructure base.
Fulfil an operational proactive role to ensure that future incidents are prevented and current incidents are resolved or escalated through the relevant processes.
Develop a basic understanding of our virtualization-and-backup environments, and administration abilities such as reportwriting, as well as being proficient in operational documentation with attention to detail.
Manage, diagnosing and restoring items in from backup, using Veeam.
Share and grow the proactive requirements of the role by adding visibility and improving the current monitoring systems and sharing with the wider team.
Troubleshoot backup and host (Hyper-V and VMWare) specific errors, and be involved in the deployment of updates, if required by the vendor or client.
Might be required to assist on a rotational basis.
Work passionately to analyse, design, install, and problem solve our client's hardware and software.
