PBT Group has an opportunity for a Data Scientist who can stay abreast of latest trends in technology and bring in best practices. 3+ years’ experience, including experience in implementing end to end large Analytics programs. Solid Data Analysis and BI experience. Experience with a Predictive Analytics tool i.e. SAP Predictive Analytics, SPSS is required.

The Data Scientist will be part of the data science team and will be working on a close basis with the business analysts and the technology team to deliver the Data Science portion of the project and product.

Day to Day activities will include data exploration to solve a specific problem, researching of methods to be applied as solution, contributing to building a DS platform, coding the solution, interacting with client on explanations, integration of the DS solution with the technology solution, data cleaning and structuring etc.

Duties:
• Execute and implement projects in predictive modelling/ forecasting using Statistical and Mathematical techniques for deriving business insights with measurable success
• To define hypothesis and to identify the analysis trail for the given business problem
• Develop & code production-grade novel algorithms for our business-experimentation platform.
• Conduct research and prototyping innovations; data and requirements gathering; solution scoping and architecture; consulting clients and client facing teams on advanced statistical problems
• To collaborate with technology team and support the development of analytical models with the effective use of data and analytic techniques
• Provide solutions but not limited to: Customer Segmentation & Targeting, Propensity Modelling, Churn Modelling, Lifetime Value Estimation, Forecasting, Recommender Systems, Modelling Response to Incentives, Marketing Mix Optimization, Price Optimization
• A good learner, a good mentor, who inspires peers and team members to learn and expand their skill set, guiding them in the right direction.

Experience:
• Strong working experience in Predictive analytics environment
• Has deployed predictive models in the past (optional deployed prediction models).
• Experience with SAP Predictive Analytics or similar tools (i.e. SPSS, R, Python, regression, Bayesian methods, tree-based learners, SVM etc)
• Solid demonstrable experience designing statistical solutions to complex business problems at scale
• Good experience in exploratory data analysis and feature design & development
• Experience in machine learning, Python, Statistics, Computer Science would be a plus
• Exposure to big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, Sqoop would be an advantage
• Demonstrable experience of formulating a problem statement and implementing analytical solutions by understanding available data and functional requirements
• Thorough grasp on RDBMS and data management concepts as well as fluency in SQL scripting
• Strong problem-solving skills & proactive attitude
• Excellent communication & working within a team
• Good written and verbal skills

Qualifications/ Certification:
- A degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Business Administration / Commerce or equivalent
