The role is focused on Advanced Analytics, optimizing analytics, and Machine learning. The Data Scientist will partner with various business teams to collaborate, test hypothesis, build proof of concepts and turn data into actionable insights, driving ROI for the client through identification of value drivers.

Responsibilities:
- Data Exploration: studying new data sources and finding Insights and correlation on how it can be used in the day to day business needs. It also involves providing suggestion on how to utilize the data and how to correlate with different data sources.
- Proof of Concept and Prototyping: performing proof of concept with a sample set of data. Once a proof of concept is successful, use learnings to drive consensus for larger project.
- Business & Data Analytics: studying the available data, performing machine learning algorithms and post processing, to come up with meaningful insights for identification of value drivers to improve business offering.
- Data Science & Statistical Modelling: This involves extracting and cleansing data from multiple sources, In-depth analysis and data visualization using SQL, and any of the following tools R, Python, SAS, SPSS, Spark, etc. (not exhaustive) to answer business questions.

Skills & Experience
- Have worked as Data Scientists
- Have experience in the Mobile Telecommunications industry
- Have experience working with Marketing related data
- Prior experience as Data Analyst
- 5-10 years relevant data experience and experience building segmentation and propensity models
- Statistical, mathematical, predictive modelling, marketing and business strategy skills
- Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modelling skills
- Able to build the necessary algorithms to ask the right questions and find the right answers
- Able to communicate their findings, orally and visually
- Have an understanding of typical products & services in a Mobile Telecoms business
- Able to calculate and present a solution, focusing on ROI
- Able to program in different programming languages e.g. Python, R, Java, Ruby, Clojure, Matlab, Pig or SQL.
- Experience with Machine Learning and AI is an added advantage
- Proficiency working with visualisation tools e.g. MS PowerBI, SAS Visual Analytics

Qualifications & Certifications
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math or related field
- Relevant certification(s) in Data Analysis
