Job summary

Our organization in the tourism industry is seeking a highly organized, hardworking and self-motivated Administrative Clerk to keep the finance office running smoothly. The ideal candidate will report to the Financial Manager. Therefore, he or she needs to have superb time management and organization skills and be able to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment. Our Administrative Clerk is one of the faces of our organization, and therefore should have good people and communication skills in order to best work with our tour guides. The individual will be required to do various account reconciliations, scan and file documentation in a structured manner and help us identify ways we can be more effective and efficient by contributing fresh ideas for improvement.

Skills

High school diploma with Math’s and Accounting.

Experience in basic bookkeeping and tracking of financial transactions

Good organization, scheduling and time management skills

Experience as a Debtors clerk

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Experience in PASTEL

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments
Maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are cleared for payment
Resolving customer queries with regards to outstanding invoices, proof of deliveries, credit notes, etc. both internally and externally

Support services to debtors function (e.g. Invoicing to agents and private clients).
