Our client is seeking a Debtors/Creditors Clerk to assist in achieving set targets in an efficient and effective manner on a daily basis.

This person should be able to do BOTH Debtors & Creditors however prefer the person being stronger in Debtors. You will require a strong focus on debt collection and customer relationships. Therefore good interpersonal skills will be required as relationships with key customers will need to be managed during the process of debt collection.

Requirements:
• Matric (with Mathematics and Accounting)
• Tertiary education will be advantageous
• 2-3 years relevant experience
• Pastel Evolution experience - advantageous
• General computer literate at least intermediate level (Windows, MS Word and excel)
• Fully Bilingual (Eng & Afr)
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize
• Own transport

Duties:
• To accurately process Customer & Supplier invoices in the accounting system
• Ensure invoices are properly authorized.
• Check & match invoices against orders.
• Ensure month end deadlines are met in order for payment to take place
• Monthly recon and sending of customer & supplier statements
• C.O.D recons
• Daily booking in of stock
• Daily processing of cashbook
• Filing of invoices
• Any adhoc requirements
• Phone customers for payment
