Job Description:
Key Duties and Responsibilities – Key Performance Indicators:
Drafting of Wills and Estate Planning
Reporting Deceased Estates to the Masters Office
Advertising of Estates and liaising with creditors and debtors
Liquidating and transferring assets in a deceased estate both locally and internationally
Applying for a grant of probate in a foreign jurisdiction
Drafting and Submission of Liquidation and Distribution Account
Distribution and finalisation of Estate
Administration of Curatorship Estates
Drafting of Trust Deeds
Registration and administration of Trusts
Amendments to Trusts
Assisting with formal emigration application for clients who reside overseas and need to formally emigrate with the South African Reserve Bank
General legal counsel and advice
Assistance and advice in complex legal tax queries

Short Summary of the purpose of the role:
Liquidation and Distribution of deceased estate’s
Drafting of Wills
Administration of Will Trusts
Administration of Deceased Estates
Drafting of legal opinions/agreements/contracts
Giving general legal advice

Minimum Criteria Required:
Matric (Grade 12)
Law degree or equivalent (advantageous)
Basic Bookkeeping Diploma would be advantageous
Commissioner of Oaths
Code 08 Drivers License and own transport
