Matjiesfontein - A well-known Karoo Hotel Seeking a Deputy General Manager

A well-known 3-star Karoo Hotel near Laingsburg with 50 rooms is seeking a Deputy GM with a strong F&B and function / event coordination background. This facility offers 7 conference rooms, 3 restaurants, 2 museums and a 4000-hectare Karoo land, so we are seeking a strong, dynamic individual with a solid  Hotel/Lodge background.

Requirements:

Tertiary hotel or hospitality management diploma or degree will be an advantage. Minimum 3 to 5 years Management experience in 3 to 4-star lodge or hotel operations and F&B management. Preferably have held an F&B management position in 30 to 50 roomed 3 to 4-star operations. Knowledge on general maintenance, front office, housekeeping, guest services and lodge/hotel coordination. Solid experience in functions co-ordination and ability to manage an event/function from A to Z.  Stable record in the industry and enjoy working in a remote environment. Must be a strong leader and be able to stand in as General Manager when the current GM is off duty.  Excellent people’s skills and very approachable. Knowledge of Property Management Systems, such as Semper would be beneficial. Excellent communication skills and exceptional attention to detail.
