Desktop Engineer
We are currently recruiting for a junior desktop engineer for one of our key clients - a leading company within the ICT space with presence across Africa.
Working for them, you will be tasked with supporting and maintaining in-house computer systems, desktops, peripherals and IT assets.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Manage calls logged with Helpdesk.
o Ensure that calls are closed within SLA times.
o Update all calls on a daily basis to inform the business of the status of their calls.
o Ensure that the answers to unusual problems are saved in the Helpdesk’s knowledgebase.
o Communicate and interact closely with the Helpdesk.
? Provide feedback about the status of:
? Open calls
? Current projects
? Identify issues that the business is experiencing
? Identify issues the system is experiencing and provide solutions
? System performance
? Ensure that databases are fully optimized
? Work with end users to identity and deliver required PC service levels.
? Liaise with, and provide training and support to, end users and staff on computer operation and other issues.
? Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products.
? Monitor and test PC performance and provide PC performance statistics and reports.

Minimum Requirements include:
• Tertiary level Diploma or University Degree
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer(MCSE) 2003/2008
• Microsoft Office Automation experience
• 2 - 3+ years equivalent work experience
