Our client based in Honeydew requires a Despatch Manager.

The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of managing the despatch departments and the key performance areas will be as follows :-
Monitor JDE despatch programme for daily requirements
System optimisation, monitoring and improvement at despatch points and weighbridges
Compliance : road legislation, ISO loading and offloading procedures
Monitor, manage and optimise payloads and vehicle turnaround times within the plant
Manage transport sub-contractors on site
Inspection and control of bulk tankers, calibration of weighbridges etc.
Responsibility for the management of the despatch co-ordinators and team
Implementation, monitoring and management of all SHEQ issues
Attendance at production / engineering and despatch meetings
Maintenance of all loading equipment
Alignment of despatch department with operational requirements of the business

The ideal incumbent/s should meet the following criteria :-
Minimum Grade 12 - relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a despatch environment
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management position
Must be able to travel extensively between operations
Willingness to be available on a stand-by basis outside of normal working hours
